Virtual Project Manager User Group Meeting Helps Cities Save More

  • The Virtual Project Manager user group meeting in the city of La Mesa, CA last week was a success.
  • The group discussed several topics to help improve the VPM system, including the new Time and Materials Module, the Stormwater Module, and Best Practices.
  • The next user group meeting will be January 18, 2012.
Wrightwood, Calif. - October 25, 2011 - The city of La Mesa, CA hosted a user group meeting for Virtual Project Manager last week. President and CEO of VPM, Lex Zuber, led several city representatives through the roundtable discussion as the group addressed several topics to help improve the VPM system for cities.

The biggest point of discussion was the Time and Materials Module, a new addition to the VPM system. This module will help contractors and city officials track T&M sheets from the field. Other topics included “Best Practices” and the Stormwater Module.

“These user group meetings are extremely helpful,” Zuber said. “They give us the chance to speak directly with our users and allow us to make useful and necessary improvements to our project management system while keeping in mind that simplicity is key.”

Virtual Project Manager is an entirely web-based system designed to help cities and counties manage their public works projects.  Several California cities, including La Mesa, Rancho Cucamonga, and San Marcos (representatives from each were in attendance) are using VPM to manage their projects and save their cities thousands of taxpayer dollars each month. The next user group meeting will take place January 18, 2012. Location has yet to be determined. To find out more about how VPM can save your city thousands of dollars a month, please contact Lex Zuber directly at (760) 249-4879 or at lex@virtual-pm.com.
